iGaming company GiG has been granted a supplier license by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).
The Gaming Innovation Group Inc (GiG) is a cloud-based iGaming product and platform service provider. The license allows them to partner with iGaming operators in the newly regulated province of Ontario. One of the latest provinces to become regulated in Canada, Ontario began allowing iGaming operations in April this year.
GiG Keeps Growing
So far, GiG has amassed 21 other licenses, with four more still pending. The supplier license covers its B2B sportsbook and player account management system, PAM.
GiG spokesperson Claudio Caruana has expressed the company’s delight and gratitude, stating that they have reached an important milestone. Caruana also reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting a regulated iGaming market in Canada.
New Deals Signed Globally
This follows GiG’s subsidiary, Sportnco, recently signing deals with operators in Portugal and Spain. In 2021, GiG sold off its B2C brands portfolio to Betsson. Since then, the company has focused solely on its B2B model- a successful move according to CEO Richard Brown.
In an interview in August last year, Brown praised his company and team for maintaining focus and structure over the period. He noted seeing changes in the industry and a number of rapidly emerging new markets. He also expressed his belief in regulation as a benefit to B2B businesses, by creating greater opportunities.
In a more recent interview, Brown stated that he was sad to see his B2C business team go. However, he remains happy and confident with the decision, believing it was for the best.
